Hi Brent, I particularly resonated with your point that the Product Manager role can get divided across other functions. Do you believe that this is embedded in the company culture, and, if so, have you ever seen a company who has been able to change this?

I’m currently looking for my next Product Management gig, and I’m trying to make sure that I don’t get stuck in that kind of role where the responsibilities are divided across functions. I’ve often found that when I ask interviewers how they view Product Managers they respond with a generic description of a Product Manager but that the actual role is divided. Do you have any additional questions that you would recommend to ask to make sure that the role is a true Product Management role?

Thank you,

Colin
